Welcome to the NEC a232 wireless phone.
Wireless System Structure
Every time you use your wireless phone, different organizations are involved:
All a232 features described in this user guide are supported by your phone. However, for all these features to work, you must have a SIM card (computer chip required for
your phone to operate; included in the box supplied by your Service Provider) that also supports these features. Even if you have a fully featured SIM card, any feature will
not work if it is not supported by the Network transmitting your call. This last point is especially important when you are roaming among networks. (See Flag.)
User Guide Conventions
The user guide legends direct your attention to specific information. These are identified in the right column.
The instructions for all tasks and phone functions start at the Idle screen unless instructed otherwise.
When one or more of the
(Left),
(Right),
key to move the cursor, scroll, cycle, or highlight.
The instruction "press" is pressing a key or button for one second or less.
The instruction "press and HOLD" is pressing and holding a key for two to three seconds.
The instruction "scroll" and "scroll to" is pressing the
