Example—On the WAN Network Mode page, select
the mode that you use to connect to your Internet
Service Provider (ISP). All modes except Router-
based offer automatic WAN IP addressing (DHCP).
WAN Network Mode
Select the method used to connect to your Ingsrnet Service Provider (ISP):
Note: When the firewali was powered oil, it did not detect a PPPoE or DHCP Server
on the WAN.
Router-based Connections - Use a Static IP address or a range of IP addresses.
O C_able/Modem-based Connections - Use DliCP assigned dynamic IP addresses.
DSI Connections - Use PPPoE for ISP ckent authentication software.
VPN Connections - Use PPTP for encrypted connections.
Exarnple—To configure LAN DHCP Settings, setect
Enable DHCP Server on LAN and enter the LAN
address range in the appropriate fields.
