Prerequisites

The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
1. Follow the procedure in

cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the
M.2 2230 solid state
5. Remove the
wireless
card.
6. Remove the
WWAN 4G card
7. Remove the fan.
8. Remove the
power button
9. Remove the
smart card reader
10. Remove the speakers.
11. Remove the
display
assembly.
12. Remove the
system
board.
NOTE:
The system board can be removed and installed with the heat sink attached. The removal and installation
procedure is simplified to preserve the thermal bond between the system board and heat sink.
13. Remove the keyboard.
14. Remove the
palm-rest
About this task
NOTE:
For computers shipped without nano-SIM option, the SIM-card slot filler is a separate service part and is not
included with a replacement palm rest. Hence, the SIM-card slot filler must be removed and then re-installed when replacing
the palm rest.
