Maintenance and Replacement 4.1 Basic Concept of Maintenance If a failure occurs during operation, be sure to dump the data if possible (if you can dump the data by actually performing the dump procedure). If having dumped the data, issue the Difficulty Form to request for detailed analysis by taking the designated steps.

    4.3.8 H0405-0013-20002 G7GQX 4.3.9 POW ALM CABLE(H0405-0013-40002 FX2B CABLE SET) Removal 1. Remove the front fan unit. 2. Remove a single screw securing the FP PLATE SUB ASSY. 3. Remove two screws securing the ICMB BRACKET. Disconnect the flat cable (POW ALM CABLE (0.25M)), used to connect the MP ASSY with G7CQX, from the ICMB BRACKET.

    4.3.10 H0405-0013-40002 FX2B CABLE SET Removal 1. Perform Steps 1 through 3 of Section 4.3.6. 2. Disconnect the FX2B-40SA cable/FX2B-52SA cable. The connector on G7HKP side must be installed in the upper part of the chassis. Make sure the orientation of the connector according to the label attached on the chassis. The FX2B cable has a connector with locking mechanism.

  • Page 18 9. Remove 14 screws securing the MP ASSY from the DISK CAGE. Take care not to remove any screws used for assembling the MP ASSY. You can identify the screws that can be removed by watching the etching pattern around the screw hole.

    4.4 Installation of Fan Unit If you remove the front or rear fan unit for maintenance, installation, or replacement, be sure to install the fan unit properly. 4.5 Notes when Using the Remote Console via N8406-005F If the CPU blade is installed in N8405-013F Blade Assembly Unit and its keyboard and mouse are connected via N8406-005F Intelligent Switch L2, the remote console is disabled when they are selected by KVM Select switch.

    5. Appendix 5.1 Chassis Structure A redundant power supply system (1 + (1 to 3)) can be configured. The power supply units are hot-swappable.
